Self-Consolidating Concrete

Self Consolidating Concrete.

Self-consolidating concrete or (scc) as it’s known does just that. The mixture consolidates itself as it flows in place without separating. Using scc mixtures can allow for a more even finish and quicker placement due to not requiring manual finishing techniques. SCC is best used for retaining walls, dams, bridges or just any type of structure that requires a higher strength concrete compared to flowable fill.

Low Strength Material Concrete

Low Strength Concrete Material

Low strength concrete material is fairly close to concrete except it has a greater plasticity capability. This type of mix is generally used for applications like grouting, sealing joints, and general flow-able fill situations. Often used for backfill when high strength material is not required it gets the job done quickly thanks to its high fluidity properties.

Shortcrete

Shortcrete

Shotcrete is a special wet-mix concrete that is conveyed through a hose and is shot at a surface. Typically Shotcrete is used when building concrete pools. High pressure tubing is pointed towards a surface, often on wire mesh or rebar to help conform it to vertical surfaces.

High Strength Concrete

High Strength Concrete

High strength concrete is a type of concrete that has a specified compressive strength of 6,000 psi or greater. Heavy duty applications such as marine foundations and high-rise building usually require it. Material design and quality of high strength concrete is carefully crafted and quality controlled as it needs to be many times the strength of typical concrete.

Lightweight Concrete

Lightweight Concrete

Manufactured in much the same manner as typical concrete lightweight concrete can be used in a variety of applications. Primarily used to reduce the load or weight of a structure such as columns of footings. Lightweight concrete offers a safer and sturdier flooring when constructing hi rise buildings or any building that needs more floor strength in general.

High Early Concrete

High Early Concrete

High early concrete is typically used for repair situations as it is a fast setting concrete. Many business operations just cannot afford to shut down and require a fast and quality fix for paving problems that arise. Commercial flooring can have it’s service life extended even as operations continue to grow.

Fiber Reinforced Concrete

Fiber Reinforced Concrete

Fiber reinforced concrete is just that concrete with either steel, synthetic macro or micro fibers. Using fiber reinforcement allows for the material to be used in construction of beams and pillars without the extra cost of using rebar. Fibrous materials comes in all shapes, sizes, lengths and compositions and specially added for certain projects. Fiber reinforced concrete can help reduce increase strength and create a durable impact resistant surface. Other major uses for this type of mix are for residential patios, driveways and even commercial parking lots.

Sometimes you just need more than a great mix to finish your project. Ask our sales team about traffic control options such as jersey barriers, parking blocks or even block walls for your next project.

Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC)

Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC)

Roller compacted concrete (RCC) has the same general ingredients as conventional concrete, but with different properties. The low slump stiff mix is able to be compacted by vibratory rollers. RCC does not require forms as it is laid with a high density paver. Joints can be saw cut in and for this reason RCC is simple, fast and economical. Heavy duty applications like lumber yards, inter-modal yards and industrial flooring are great for this tough type of concrete.
